Ward Demoliton is committed to providing a healthy and safe work place for employees, contractors, sub-contractors, PCBU’s, and visitors to company offices, sites and premises. In doing so, we will comply with all relevant legislations, codes of practice, and regulations to continually improve our performance striving for excellence in health and safety.

Health and Safety is crucial in our industry and paramount in our business.  We work as a team and ensure our staff are properly trained and equipped to work safely at all times.

We strictly adhere to all mandatory Health and Safety regulations including the current Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.  As members of Site Safe, our staff attend courses regularly and all our employees hold Site Safe Passports.

Ward Demolition are Health and Safety accredited to ISO 18001 and we are proud holders of the inaugural SiteWise Gold certificate for our Health and Safety Systems. Ward were also winners of the NZDAA Health and Safety Best Practice award in 2019.

  • We work continuously to ensure a safe working environment at all times. Health and Safety procedures are reviewed regularly, ensuring all critical risks are identified and controls implemented to keep everyone safe.

  • Staff are evaluated thoroughly to meet our high standards, with all staff undergoing pre-employment and annual health checks for continual health monitoring, ensuring they remain healthy and fit for purpose while employed at Ward.

  • Key staff turnover is minimal, so we retain our knowledge and experience.

  • Employees and clients can contact Wards dedicated HSE Manager who can assist and support them throughout all aspects of health and safety.

  • Our senior staff are provided with modern communication technologies, allowing connectivity between our site staff, clients and office staff/management.

  • On site workers are promptly provided with necessary equipment by our administration and off site support teams.

  • Through the continued use of our award-winning online Health and Safety Management system, Incident reporting via app software captures events instantly and notifies management immediately of issues that have occurred on site. This allows for easier identification of trends and effective solutions.

  • All new equipment is examined and selected based on safety requirements, including ease of operation.

  • We regularly maintain all our equipment, and repairs must meet our company’s guidelines.

  • As a PCBU, we ensure that all health risks and hazards, physical and mental, are identified, managed and controlled in order to provide a healthy and safe work environment for our staff
